About High Speed Steel 1.3247 Scrap

IMI ALLOYS INDIA LLP supplies High Speed Steel (HSS) 1.3247 scrap to buyers across Mumbai and other parts of India. Pick a supplier who can give you consistent grading and verified composition. We’re not offering random mixed lots. As a stockist based in Mumbai, we keep 1.3247 grade scrap on hand, sourced from tool manufacturing offcuts, worn cutting tools and rejected bar stock. Buyers in tool steel remelting, powder metallurgy feedstock or export trading get material with traceable origin. Tungsten, molybdenum and vanadium content stays consistent across batches, which matters if you’re placing repeat orders.

A lot of suppliers claiming to deal in HSS 1.3247 scrap end up sending mixed grades or quote prices that shift. Our scrap comes sorted by grade and isn’t mixed with other tool steel types, so it’s ready for processing or resale as soon as it arrives. IMI ALLOYS INDIA LLP manufactures and stocks round, square and flat bars in Tool Steel, Alloy Steel and High-Speed Steel, all from our facility in Mumbai. We’re an authorised dealer for Graphite India Limited (POWMEX STEELS DIVISION) and a stockist for Nachi Fujikoshi Corp, covering their HSS, Powder Metallurgy and Alloy Steel product lines. We also hold ASP 2052 (DSS) and HSS scrap in our warehouse, so buyers can get finished bar stock and scrap from one place instead of dealing with multiple vendors.

High Speed Steel (HSS) 1.3247 Scrap

Having all these properties, 1.3247 Grade Scrap are widely used in industrial sectors. We mainly focus on textures, furnishings, grades and other specifications of the 1.3247 Grade Scrap. The properties such as corrosion features and strengths are highly recommended in industries, which is why our products have the best demands on the industrial sectors. They also have high resistance and thicknesses. 1.3247 Grade Scraps is most often used for die-sinking cutters, milling cutters and engraving machines together with gravers as good as for device bits in automatic lathes. Also suitable for non-reducing shaping such as cold extrusion rams and instruments employed in machining substances for the aviation industry equivalent to titanium alloys.

1.3247 Grade Scraps is an excessive-carbon, excessive-pace steel founded on molybdenum. Characterized by excessive put-on resistance, red hardness and durability. For this reason of its low vanadium content, this 1.3247 Grade Scraps reveals excellent grind ability. The physical properties of these 1.3247 Grade Scraps are temperature, modulus of elasticity in GPa, mean of thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, specific thermal and electrical capacity, density and electrical resistivity.

FAQ's

Not exactly. 1.3247 lines up with M42-type chemistry and around 8% cobalt, but scrap gets classified by actual composition testing, not just the grade name. Lots get mislabeled sometimes during collection.

Spark testing, spectrometer checks and magnetic response tests confirm the grade. Cobalt near 8%, along with the right tungsten and vanadium ratios, is what separates it from M2 or M35 scrap.

It depends on cobalt and tungsten. Standard tool steel has almost none of either. 1.3247 has roughly 8% cobalt, which pushes its recovery value up in remelting markets.

Cobalt and tungsten rates move week to week, and so does demand. Lot purity and contamination levels also matter. Mixed-grade lots usually go for 15-20% less than clean, verified batches.
